STATEMENT
The Igbo saying that “things are in two’’ provides the basis for my works which are the final result of the processing of diverse thematic materials and ideas derived from the unfathomable mysteries of existence. Their interpretations are constructed around the vast elements of the theory and practice of dualism. They are inspired by various environments, experiences, encounters, interactions, events, vision, prophesies tensions, joy, excitements, anger, frustrations, and all that attribute to life. They are pictorial narratives constructed around social and political issues in any space i find myself. My Work focuses on the “positive “and the “negative” systems. These provide me with diverse vocabularies for articulating the content of my work which incorporates global themes and interposes private and public spaces. My images are intended to comfort the multitude of the issues in my society in order to forge true social change. I view art as a tool for education, agitation and social critique. Essentially, art CAS a manifestation of the world seeks to create.
