Chinedu Onuigbo

Chinedu Onuigbo is an indigene of Anambra state. Born in 1974 in Zaria, Kaduna, he is an art (sculpture) graduate of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Chinedu is a versatile and prolific artist who has evolved a visual language with distinct approach within the context of mixed media genre. He plays with a variety of media combs, saw dust, beach sand, masks, geometric shapes, cowries, jute sack, rope, etc. all create a fusion which is intrinsically African but with resounding cross cultural appeal. With his distinct talent he has won various awards and executed major commissions. He was a participant at the New York art expo of March, 2010.
